Limnohabitans planktonicus : ウィキペディア英語版 | Limnohabitans planktonicus
''Limnohabitans planktonicus'' is a gram-negative, oxidase- and catalase-positive, aerobic, unpigmented bacterium from the genus of Limnohabitans and the family of Comamonadaceae, which was isolated from the meso eutrophic freshwater reservoir in Římov in the Czech Republic.〔http://ijs.sgmjournals.org/content/60/12/2710.full〕〔http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3091486/〕 It is sometimes referred to by the mnemonic "Elpy Melps". == Interesting Discovery ==
Limnohabitans planktonicus was discovered in the Czech Republic following synthesis in the laboratory. Subsequent isolation from the meso eutrophic freshwater reservoir in Římov yielded 0.3 - 0.8% Elpy Melps. This at the time baffled scientists because before then, nobody had succeeded in noodling quite so profusely.〔http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3091486/〕
